Five Nights at Freddy's 3

About Five Nights at Freddy's 3

The series' gameplay is distinct. The player must survive the night shift as a security guard from 12am to 6am (a few minutes of real time). Unlike the previous two games, one animation can end the game. Some animatronics from past games return as "ghosts" that can impair the player's survival.

The game is set in "Fazbear's Fright," a horror-themed attraction where "Springtrap" roams. The player must monitor two security camera systems to track Springtrap's movements: one for the rooms and hallways and another for the ventilation ducts. They may shut certain vents to limit Springtrap's access to the workplace, but the direct entrance remains accessible. The player must also monitor the 3 operating systems and restart them when there are problems. These systems control cameras, audio devices that can attract Springtrap away from gamers, and ventilation. After repeated use, cameras and audio equipment break. Randomly or when a "ghost" scares the player, the ventilation system malfunctions. "Phantom Mangle" can influence sound and ventilation, for example. Failure to do so can cause the player to lose vision and hallucinate animatronics. Springtrap terrifies the player, ending the game.

Completing all five nights unlocks a more challenging "Nightmare" night. Thursday night is pass-night. Mini-games in the main game are Atari-style; completing them all unlocks the "good ending" and bonus content, as well as a second star. [1] The "Nightmare" night unlocks the cheat menu and third star. Cheat menu choices include making animatronics more aggressive and increasing game difficulty. Other exploits include a radar to track the Springtrap and shorter nights. Using only the cheat to complete "Nightmare" earns a fourth star.
